Welcome to The Arts Society Test Valley

Chairman: Vivienne Jarvis

The Arts Society Test Valley was until recently known as Test Valley DFAS.  We adopted our new name following our AGM on 6 June 2017, to bring us in line with the rebranding of NADFAS to The Arts Society.  The aim of our society is to provide an appreciation and study of the arts.

We enjoy lectures from first class speakers, experts in their field. They cover a wide range of topics in the fine and applied arts, including architecture, furniture, music, ceramics, paintings and many others.

In addition, several visits a year are arranged to historic houses, museums and galleries, theatres, concerts and other places of interest. There are also two Days of Special Interest to look at a subject in greater depth. From time to time a British or overseas trip is arranged.  Members also receive a quarterly magazine.

The Chairman, Vivienne Jarvis, would be glad to supply information or answer any general queries you may have. Phone her on 01264 358065 or email

Help needed finding contacts for Young Arts projects

The Arts Society Test Valley promotes arts projects for youngsters, usually (though not exclusively) via funding.  However, our message often fails to get through because we don't have the right contact.  Do you know someone who is involved with a school or youth organisation?  If you do, please email Linda King.
